The GYROTONIC® method

Move Better. Feel Stronger. Live Well. Lasting Benefits.

The Gyrotonic Method is an original and unique movement method that addresses the entire person by opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and improving strength and movement efficiency. With the Gyrotonic exercises, each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility.

Specialised GYROTONIC® equipment

Well-being through intelligent movement

The human body thrives in a state of harmony, with movements naturally flowing in arcs and spirals. This seamless transition is what inspired Juliu Horvath, creator of the Gyrotonic Method, to design specialized equipment.
The beauty of the Gyrotonic equipment lies in its adjustability. It caters to individual differences, accommodating variations in height, limb length, and range of motion.

Juliu Horvath

The Gyrotonic Method was created by Juliu Horvath, a Romanian former dancer who developed the technique and the specialised equipment after injury as a dancer. Juliu continues to teach and develop the system, impacting movement and theory worldwide.

Transform your body, mind & movement

Here at Harborough Movement Studio, we teach the Gyrotonic method on specialised equipment to improve strength and range of movement at both functional and competitive performance levels across multi-generational clients of all capabilities.
