My body has been exposed to injuries and knocks, I have ongoing injuries that can be managed with correct exercise and movements. As a keen cyclist that started since the age of twelve I have developed the classic cyclists niggles and problems; tight hamstrings, lower back injuries and bad posture that sitting in the saddle can create, it wasn't until I had injuries that I decided to venture down the holistic approach of exercise. I was strongly recommended to try the Gyrotonic method by a fellow Gyrotonic teacher, after undertaking weekly sessions not only has my posture improved significantly but I don't suffer these such symptoms that cyclists can get. I can honestly say no other form of movement and exercise has offered such a unique approach to improving my body.

I felt I needed to be able to offer this to other people of all backrounds, not just athletes, thus my Gyrotonic journey began through an extensive training schedule and lifelong learning, that a Gyrotonic teacher has to perform.

Having studied at the Laban Centre for both undergraduate and master's degrees in dance, the impact of human movement and the power of a healthy, free-moving body have been alongside me for over 30 years. As an advocate of contemporary dance and the power of sport to establish self-confidence, direction, and community - teaching Pilates and the Gyrotonic method have formed an invaluable part of my life.

I qualified in 2000 as a comprehensive mat and equipment teacher accredited by The Pilates Foundation. In 2003 I further qualified as a Gyrotonic instructor and have continued to update my training as the technique evolves.

For over 20 years I have taught in Pilates and Gyrotonic studios in London as well as opening a fully equipped Pilates and Gyrotonic studio. I have worked with and for osteopaths and physiotherapists as well as running teacher training workshops for The Pilates Foundation.

With Pilates as my core discipline, using the Gyrotonic method to teach and inspire brings me back to the reasons I fell in love with movement - this is a unifying technique to bring both discipline and freedom to the way the body moves.

Some of the studios I have worked with:
Pilates off the Square; Triyoga; Yoga Therapy Centre; Pilates Studios Kings Cross; The Pilates Foundation; Performance Physio; Westminster Physiotherapy and Pilates Centre; Chiswick Pilates Practice; Harborough Pilates Centre.
